Privacy Policy

1. What we collect — and what we don't

We collect the minimum necessary to run the platform:

• Email address — used for login and trade notifications only. Never shared publicly.
• Username — displayed publicly on your profile and listings.
• Bio and avatar — optional. You set these yourself and they are shown publicly on your profile.
• Listing data — card names, set, condition, ink color, and your “looking for” description. Public.
• Shipping address — optional. Saved if you choose to store it for convenience. Shared only with a confirmed trade partner after both parties accept a trade. Automatically deleted from the trade record when the trade is completed, declined, or closed.
• Trade messages — messages between you and a trade partner. Visible only to the two parties involved.
• Reviews and ratings — posted after a trade completes. Publicly visible on your profile.

2. Why we collect it

• Email: to let you log in and to send trade notifications (e.g. "your trade was accepted").
• Username and profile info: so other traders can identify and trust you.
• Listing and trade data: to run the matching and trading features of the platform.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties except as described in Section 4.

3. Who can see your data

• Public: your username, bio, avatar, active listings, and reviews you've received.
• Trade partner only: messages you send in a trade thread.
• You only: your email address and your inactive listings.

4. Third-party services

We use a small number of trusted services to run InkTrade:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your account data and all platform data live here. Supabase Privacy Policy
• Vercel — our hosting provider. Serves the application and may log request metadata (IP, browser). Vercel Privacy Policy
• Resend — used to send transactional emails (trade notifications). Your email address is passed to Resend only to deliver those emails. Resend Privacy Policy

5. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. If you clear this cookie you will be signed out.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Trade messages are retained as part of the trade record. If you delete your account, your profile, listings, and messages are removed. Reviews you left on other users' profiles may remain attributed to “[deleted user]” to preserve the integrity of the review record.

7. Your rights

You can:

• Update your username, bio, and avatar at any time from your profile settings.
• Deactivate listings at any time.
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile settings.

If you are in the EU or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA. Email us at hello@inktrade.app to exercise them.

8. Children

InkTrade is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete the account.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date. Significant changes will be communicated via email.
